In Europe, storms are responsible for more than 50% of all the volume of damage loss. An increase in wind risk is also observed for previously unaffected forests in northern European countries. Preparness and vunerability mapping are a key component of this risk management.
Reports describing how the storm risk was managed in the concerned regions at the beginning of the project, in 2016:
- Storm risk management in Aquitaine (2016) (FR)
- Storm risk management in the Basque Country (2016) (ES)
